Option 1: On foot, we walk through the historic streets of Falun where stories from the past are combined with the taste of Dalarna. At our destination in one of the old miners’ cottages, the coffee table is set with cakes baked with recipes from bygone days as well as up to date treats.
Option 2: On two wheels we cycle from the bottom to the top of the World Heritage Town of Falun. From the depths of the Copper mine and over slag heaps, we make our way down through the alleys and streets. We get to taste some goodies along the way and after enjoying the view at the national arena Lugnet on the other side of the city, we slide down towards a much-needed coffee at one of Falun’s coziest cafes. Bicycles are available for hire, both with and without the support of an electric motor.
Option 3: We walk through a cultural-historical landscape where the water route to the mine was the vital artery. We learn more about nature, the province and its people and events from the past. We visit the nature school and get acquainted with the animals that graze in the forest and meadows where the miner Fet-Mats worked in the 17th century. Fika is prepared over an open fire, using local products and flavors from nature. Approximately 4 km hike that ends at folk park where you can stop for a swim in the lake, rest on the lawn by the beach or perhaps try one of the rowing boats? The local bus will then take you back towards the city center. This tour can also be a biking tour on request.
